Description
This beautiful landscape was captured on the banks of the Sikanni River in British Columbia, The diagonal treeline across the river follows the route of the original Alaska Highway down to the river as it was originally built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. The original bridge at this location was built in seventy two hours by an African American unit of the American Army, which was still segregated at the time.
