We had to pull over on Alaska's Tok Cutoff to admire the view of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. There are no roads going into this park. Together with Canada's Kluane National Park, which it borders, it is one of the largest parks in the world.
I first began enjoying photography in the 1960s, back in the days of Kodachrome, Extachrome, Tri-X, Plus-X, Ilford, Fuji, and all the other wonderful films we had back then. I shot portraits, headshots, model portfolios, little league teams, rock bands, babies, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and anything else that would pay me a few bucks. I then took a detour for the better part of four decades and became a TV director. Thirty five years and eighteen thousand broadcasts later, I retired and returned to my original passion of photography. My wife Leslie also came from a strong photographic background.
